Weekly Check In & Recipe

Happy Sunday! I hope you all have had a great week! As promised I wanted to check in for the week & share a recipe. Since Monday I have lost 8lbs! Incredible right? Especially since Friday night after an event a bunch of people and I went to Jose Peppers. I was so proud that I didn't cheat! I just drank my water and stuck to the realization that I had already eaten dinner, wasn't hungry, and kept my mind on the fact that when I would would wake up on Saturday I would be down lbs if I just trusted the system. The next morning I woke up and was down 1lb! After I had gotten past Friday night, I decided to be extra prepared for our Young Adults outing to Buca Di Beppo. I chose a chicken salad & I brought my Walden Farms Honey Mustard Dressing. It was SO good, and I felt SO accomplished when I faced my second "real world challenge". I felt even more accomplished when I woke up this morning 1/2lb lighter. Woohoo!!

This weekend was a reminder that there will be times when it might be hard to stick to protocol foods, but it also goes to show that if I TRUST THE SYSTEM & stick to the protocol foods, I will lose, and losing is always better than gaining when your talking about weight! :)

Recipe for the week:

Apple Chips -

2 Gala Apples sliced very thin (you can use more if you want to make more)
1T of Stevia
1T of Cinnamon
Coconut Oil

Preheat Oven To 250 Degrees & Spray the bottom of your cooking sheet with a thin layer of coconut oil.

Slice the apples so they look like circles

Mix 1T of Stevia & 1T of Cinnamon

Sprinkle the Cinnamon & Sugar on the apple slices

Place Them In The Oven For An Hour (may take a little longer, be sure to watch so they don't burn)

Remove When Crispy.

I loved these so much. They are a nice alternative to your typical apple, and crunchy! Enjoy! Let me know how yours turn out!

A recipe whoops!
My sweet husband thought it would be a good idea to try to make snicker doodle cookies out of Cauliflower, Cinnamon, & Stevia....You can probably guess how they came out. (YUCK) - Good try honey. ;)
